Majek Fashek, a veteran musician, on Sunday night, urged Nigerians
to support President Muhammadu Buhari “in his efforts to strengthen and
rebuild the country.”
The “Send Down the Rain” crooner made the call during his performance
at the “AY Live’’ comedy show held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in
Lagos.
Majek told the audience that Nigeria’s problem was poverty and not
just corruption, adding that the President should tackle poverty.
“President Buhari should support the poor people in Nigeria because
that is the only way Nigeria can rise like America,” he said.

of AY Live, an annual comedy and music show organised by AY (Ayo Makun)

and its practitioners because entertainment is one of the major
attractions of Nigeria.

“The government and the people should please keep supporting us.”
The show, which lasted from 8.10 p.m. till the wee hours of Monday,
was hosted by On-Air-Personality, Freeze, and had performances from
various comedians and musicians.
